7/31/2014 We have nothing but good things to say about John Baratelli and the work he’s done for us. As a self-employed licensed electrician, he’s honest, dependable and very competent. We met John back in 2008 doing remodeling work; he installed kitchen appliances and outlets, all working perfectly today. Fast forward to a different home going on the market and more work done…several canned lights in the living spaces, 3 ceiling fans in the bedrooms, gfci’s in the kitchen & garage, and last but not least, John was able to correct main panel (as well as some other electrical) deficiencies sited in the home inspection report. He even took the time to speak to the inspector of the report to clarify exactly what needed to be done so we were sure to get it done right. End results: gorgeous lighting in the home and outlets and main panel that will stand up to the little electrical test gadget and code requirements. His wiring work is neat and tidy. His installation of canned lights and fans is clean and sound. We consider ourselves lucky to be able to call on John to help us with our electrical needs. If only he worked on cars too!

John, the owner, is fantastic.  He had previously done excellent work for us so we called him again to install 4 ceiling fans.  I left him a text in the morning and he returned my call by noon the same day.  We scheduled a date for the following week and he arrived promptly at 8 AM.  He worked two consecutive days on this project. 

John is friendly, professional, and very efficient.  His work is first class and he makes sure you understand what you are getting and paying for before he starts work. 

I would not even consider using any other electrician than John in the future.  There is no question that Baratelli Electric deserves a 5-star rating.

John is a wonderful and reliable electrician, not to mention a great guy.  He has been installing canned lights in my house on an installment basis since January.  The first time I used John, he came out right away and charged me a very nominal amount to help source out the problem with my Christmas lights.  After meeting him, I knew he would be a great choice for installing my canned lights, and he has been steadily working on doing so on a room-by-room basis.  John always quickly returns my calls and texts, and confirms our appointment before coming over.  He is very punctual.  I highly recommend John for your electrical needs.

I needed a good electrician to come into my house and install 4 ceiling lights to replace old ones.  I have very high ceiling and new it would be a difficult job.  I had already had one electrician turn down the job due to the difficulty.

I live in Del Mar and told John I need to leave the house at 7am sharp to get to work.  He showed up a few minutes early ( He came all the way from Ramona) and put me at ease right away . Said the job was not a problem and estimated the cost.  I was also concerned since I have 1 YO boxer that likes to play who was in the house while I am gone .  John is an animal lover I learned and has many himself including dogs, cats, houses, etc...

He called me when he was done and said everything looked perfect.  When I got home , , indeed everything was perfect.  I cant say enough about John .  He put me at ease while I had to be away at work and left him with my boxer to complete the job , John is  very trustworthy , came in under budget with the cost on installation and now my boxer has a new buddy.

I called John because I attempted to expand a wall switch from 1 to 2 gang for a bathroom exhaust fan and light but stopped once I got comfortable.  John was friendly on the phone and very accommodating when it came to a time he could stop by for an estimate.  Though he initially stopped by to give an estimate, he said he could start work immediately as it was a relatively small job.  He finished the job quickly and charged a very reasonable price.

Highly recommend and will be using him more in the future.

John was fantastic! Showed up at 7 AM on the dot (as we'd planned) and took care of a messy outlet I had been avoiding near my kitchen sink. He worked quickly, safely, and helped me take care of 2 new GFI outlets for me to get me in proper electrical standing. Not only did he do great work, he was super personable and very affordable, even offering to charge me less since we'd chatted for part of the hour and half he was here. I'm so happy I now have my local electrician ready to call for any little or big thing I need. Although I know he'd love to do the work I have, he also gave me a few good ideas about do it yourself stuff that would save me money. Overall, he's a honest awesome guy and if you have anything in the RB, PQ, Scripps, Poway, Ramona area, John's your guy!

I called John Baratelli this morning to come to our business to set our outside sign on a timer. John was very professional and had the job done in no time!  I would highly recommend using his services for your electrical needs.  I will be using him in the future for my residential needs too!

John Baratelli has done a number of electrical installations at my horse ranch. His work is outstanding.  He takes his time, evaluates your needs and makes recommendations for solutions.  In addition his prices are reasonable. I would highly  recommend John and his company for any electrical needs.

John Baratelli has been doing work for our family for years. What impresses me most is that he is ALWAYS completes the job with safety first and foremost. That is huge when dealing with your home. He is always on time, is one of the friendliest contractors I've ever met :), is always able to diagnose whatever problem we might have, and fixes it in a timely manner. I don't think there is a project he couldn't handle. Make the call and you will be happy you did! His rates also cannot be beat!

My friend who is in construction recommended John to put an outlet electrical box on my patio cover to hang lights.  I called him and he came over when he said he would and on time.  Does excellent work and takes pride in his job.  Gave me an estimate and was very reasonable!  So good...that I called him back out to do some more work for me in the kitchen as well.  We chatted about an additional project for the future.  Highly recommend him to anyone needing some work done on their home or business.

We have hired John twice to do electrical work around the house.  Both times John showed up right on time and was very amiable and knowledgable.  One one occasion he installed several new light fixtures on the outside of the house.  On another occasion he installed a ceiling fan and fixed some loose wiring in the attic.  He works quickly and is very fair in his pricing.  We would definately recommend this electrician to anyone.

John Baratelli installed a digital lighting timer in my home. He was on time, efficient, friendly and did it right the first time. He even cleaned up after wards. I will definitely call him next time I need electrical work done.

Excellent Electrician!

GREAT Electrician!!!

John Baratelli gave us the most reasonably priced quote on ceiling fan installations. He has been very flexible when scheduling appointments. He does a great job, cleans up after himself, and is very professional. We have recommended him to our friends (who also thought he did great work), and have also had him come back to do more work for us.
